INFORMATION FOR BUSINESSES
Now in its sixth year Norco Eat the Street returns to the Lismore CBD. With over 25,000 people in attendance in 2019, Eat the Street is a great promotion of the Lismore CBD and a showcase of not only Lismore's foodie culture but it's strong and eclectic community.
ABOUT THE EVENT
In 2020 the event will be held on Saturday 14 March from 12pm-9pm in Lismore’s Central Business District (CBD) with the two main roads in the heart of the city closed to traffic and transformed into a sea of beautiful white marquees with over 50 fabulous food & wine and art & craft stalls. The beautiful wide streets lined with heritage buildings and giant fig trees become the setting for a fabulous celebration of food, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations & classes, children's art, craft and cultural activities and street art workshops.
Surrounding Norco Eat the Street are some great special events. These include the progressive dinner, a guided dinner through Lismore visiting four venues with a course and matched drink at each one. The Farm Tour where attendees can experience the techniques and processes in which the regions finest local produce is farmed. Learn from the best with a Cooking Masterclass hosted by guest chef Georgia Barnes. And new for 2020 is the Garden Party, a ticketed space where you can kick back and relax with a private bar, music, facilities and comfortable lounge areas.
With an event of this magnitude comes opportunity. The influx of visitors and locals to the Lismore CBD over the event provides an opportunity to showcase your business to a greater variety of potential customers. Many of the attendees to Eat the Street walk the Lismore CBD by way of traveling to and from the event or just taking a look around throughout the day.
Attendees to Eat the Street are not all locals either, the opportunity is there for businesses to showcase to a new audience by extending opening hours.
Promote and share. A media kit has been developed to give businesses the tools to easily promote the event. The kit contains information, images and branded artwork that can be used in social media, websites or print. The more people we can get promoting the event means more promotion of Lismore. Feel free to combine it with any special deals you might put on for the day or days leading up. Make sure to let us know if you are doing anything special for the event so we can help promote it through our social media channels.
